HORSEMEN TRAVEL TO EVANSVILLE FOR RE-MATCH WITH BLUECATS

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Coming off a 40-34 win against Bloomington at home last week, the Lexington Horsemen return to the road Saturday as they travel to Evansville, Ind., to take on the Evansville BlueCats. Kick-off in Roberts Stadium is set for 8:05 p.m. EDT and the game will be carried live on 101.5 FM The Planet and WVLK 590 AM with Randy Wilson. Lexington will be looking to sweep the season series against the BlueCats after taking two meetings from Evansville already this season.

The Horsemen (6-5) are led by quarterback Kewan Dewberry, the reigning United Indoor Football Offensive Player of the Week, who went 17-for-21 for 179 yards with three touchdowns in Lexington’s victory against Bloomington last week. He also rushed twice for 19 yards in helping the Horsemen snap a two-game losing streak. Dewberry ranks third in the UIF in passing average, with 155.8 yards per game and is tied for second in the league with 35 touchdown passes.

Wide receiver Harry Lewis ranks second in the UIF in receiving yards per game, averaging 70.0 yards per game through the air, while running back Rayshawn Askew is fourth on the ground with 43.3 ypg.

Lexington leads the all-time series with Evansville 10-1 and have won six consecutive meetings between the two teams. The Horsemen are 4-1 all-time when the game is played in Evansville, Ind.

Evansville enters Saturday’s game with a 3-7 record, having lost three of its last four games. The BlueCats are coming off a 49-16 loss against Rock River last week.
