HARMON NAMED NEW HORSEMEN HEAD COACHSeptember 23, 2007 Lexington, KY- The Horsemen have announced Coach Mike Harmon has accepted the promotion to Head Coach to lead the first Horsemen Arena2 football team. Coach Harmon has been with the Horsemen for four seasons of indoor football. He served as Defensive Line Coach and Special Teams Coordinator for three years and Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator last year. The Horsemen won one national championship and three division titles during Coach Harmon’s Horsemen career. Coach Harmon is serving his seventh season as the Head Coach for Lafayette High School in Lexington. His 2006 Lafayette Generals posted their first undefeated regular season in 43 years under his tutelage He was named Coach of the Year in his District in 2003, 2004, and 2006 and is the former President of the Kentucky High School Football Coaches Association. Harmon stated, “My staff and I are working diligently to recruit the most talented players for the Horsemen this season. We are very encouraged by the number of players and their agents that have indicated an interest to come to Lexington and play for the Horsemen. Our goal is to put together a winning team for our fans.” Harmon said he is in the process of finalizing his coaches’ staff for 2008 and an announcement of those coaches would follow soon.
